Use of the API requires an authentication token. It is your responsibility to keep this token secure. All API requests must be made over SSL. Non-SSL requests will be rejected.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EDevelopers are prohibited from:\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003ECompromise security in any way;\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProvide access to DailyStory API in any fraudulent or unauthorized way, including bypassing or circumventing protocols and access controls;\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ETransmit any viruses or other code that may damage any system or data;\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EReverse engineer, disassemble, decompile, decode, adapt, or otherwise attempt to derive or gain access to any software component of the API, in whole or in part;\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ERemove any proprietary notices from the API;\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EUse the API in any manner or for any purpose that infringes, misappropriates, or otherwise violates any intellectual property right or other right of any person, or that violates any applicable law;\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ECombine or integrate the API with any software, technology, services, or materials not authorized by DailyStory;\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EDesign or permit your applications to disable, override, or otherwise interfere with any DailyStory-implemented communications to end users, consent screens, user settings, alerts, warning, or the like;\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EUse the API in any of your applications to replicate or attempt to replace the user experience of the DailyStory Offering; or\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EAttempt to cloak or conceal your identity or the identity of your applications when requesting authorization to use the API.\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003EIn addition, you will not use the API in connection with or to promote any products, services, or materials that constitute, promote, or are used primarily for the purpose of dealing in spyware, adware, or other malicious programs or code, counterfeit goods, items subject to U.S. embargo, unsolicited mass distribution of email (\u0022spam\u0022), multi-level marketing proposals, hate materials, hacking, surveillance, interception, or descrambling equipment, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, or otherwise offensive content, stolen products, and items used for theft, hazardous materials, or any illegal activities.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Ch2 id=\u0022use_of_dataa_hrefhttpsdevdailystorycomdocsdeveloperpolicyuseofdataa\u0022\u003EUse of Data\u003Ca href=\u0022https://dev.dailystory.com/docs/developer-policy#use-of-data\u0022\u003E\u003C/a\u003E\u003C/h2\u003E\u003Cp\u003EUse of customer data must be transparent by disclosing the collection, use and sharing of the data. You must limit your use of the data to the practices you disclose. All Developers must have an industry standard privacy policy in place that accurately describes the specifics of data usage and meets applicable legal and consent requirements.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EDevelopers are prohibited from:\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003ESharing user data to external party unless otherwise agreed by the user and for following reasons:To comply and in accordance with applicable laws and regulationsPart of a merger or acquisitionIf necessary to improve the user experience and business needs\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003ETo comply and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPart of a merger or acquisition\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EIf necessary to improve the user experience and business needs\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ESubcontracting any processing of the data to a third party sub-processor without the prior written consent.\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E\u003Ch2 id=\u0022user_experiencea_hrefhttpsdevdailystorycomdocsdeveloperpolicyuserexperiencea\u0022\u003EUser Experience\u003Ca href=\u0022https://dev.dailystory.com/docs/developer-policy#user-experience\u0022\u003E\u003C/a\u003E\u003C/h2\u003E\u003Cp\u003EEvery application must meet the business need and respect user privacy and provide a good user experience.
